About the Role:

Due to recent changes on site, we have an opportunity for experienced Underground Shift Supervisors to join our Freeport Indonesia Project in Central Papua. With flights provided from your point of hire to site, choose between an 8/4 or 6/3 roster, with 12-hour shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations and safety meeting with the crew

- Ensure that all work in your area is done safely – procedures followed so that productivities are achieved without incident





- Plan tasks for the shift in conjunction with the Superintendent, and when necessary, licensing or training and maintenance personnel

- Allocate machinery, work areas and tasks to shift employees

- Closely supervise new or inexperienced employees

- Ensure work is being performed in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations

- Visit all assigned working areas and make sure the area are up to standard, employees are following procedures

- Work closely and assist with training of National employees

- Actively participate and comply with the site leadership program, record and report the results of the inspections and implement corrective actions as required to minimise risks/hazards

- Attend at pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings

Skills and Qualifications Required:

- Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Underground Shift Supervisor

- Hold a current Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate

- Current Driver's Licence

- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)

- Strong leadership skills

- In-depth knowledge of all underground operating methods, construction and special projects

- Have experience in a high-speed single heading development setting
