As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be a crucial part of our team, responsible for optimising the infrastructure and streamlining the deployment process for our innovative platform.
You’ll work closely with developers to automate processes, ensure seamless integrations, and maintain a reliable, scalable environment that meets the needs of our growing business. You’ll also have the chance to mentor junior team members and contribute to our FlowLogic’s long-term growth strategy.

Your Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code principles
- Manage and automate server configurations using Puppet across development, staging, and production environments
- Build and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tools
- Support deployment and scaling of PHP and Golang applications in production environments
- Implement and maintain NATS messaging systems for distributed application communication
- Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure, including IAM policies, network security, and compliance requirements
- Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Work closely with development teams to improve deployment processes and resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
Essential Criteria
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, and CloudFormation/Terraform
- Proficiency with Puppet for infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Python & Golang for building tools and services
- Working knowledge of PHP applications and their deployment requirements
- Version Control: Advanced knowledge of Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions for CI/CD
- Messaging Systems: Experience with NATS or similar message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis)
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, load balancers, DNS, and CDNs
- with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude when it comes to troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively.
Advantageous
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices
- Understanding of security scanning tools and vulnerability management
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
