Workshop Design Studio is the Commercial branch of MCM House, a multidisciplinary design and supply practice. ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a standout opportunity for a commercially sharp, design-aware Commercial Project Manager to manage national and international end-to-end delivery of exciting commercial projects based out of our Paddington Head Office.

The Commercial Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of custom and turn-key furniture packages for commercial clients. The role owns each engagement from brief to installation, coordinating the full value chain through which products are designed, priced, developed, and overseeing the manufacturing and deliveries directly to the client.

The Commercial Project Manager is the central point of accountability that keeps commercial, creative and supply-chain functions aligned to deliver projects on brief, on time and on budget.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager and working in close partnership with the Creative Director, the Commercial Project Manager takes ownership of the following:

- Driving the Commercial Department’s revenue and profitability targets and taking accountability for the commercial outcome of each project.





- Deepening relationships with existing commercial clients while supporting the acquisition and onboarding of recent accounts.

- Fast and accurate communication between clients and MCM House divisions to ensure every project is managed and delivered on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Act as the primary client contact from enquiry through to final installation and handover, ensuring an exceptional client experience at every stage.

- Manage the end-to-end delivery of commercial furniture projects, including project planning, timelines, budgets, quotations, product specifications, sampling, shop drawings, procurement, production, logistics and installation.

- Prepare quotations, tenders and project documentation, ensuring correct pricing, product specifications and contractual requirements.

- Coordinate internal design, procurement, production and logistics teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

- Build and maintain solid relationships with commercial clients, consultants, architects and project stakeholders to foster repeat business and secure early engagement on future opportunities.





- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and contribute to achieving and exceeding individual and company sales revenue targets.

- Monitor project performance throughout the lifecycle, proactively managing risks, variations, lead times, budgets and client expectations to ensure successful project outcomes.

- Provide regular project reporting and communicate progress, key milestones and potential issues to both clients and internal stakeholders.

- Maintain accurate project records, forecasts and CRM information to support effective business planning and reporting.

ABOUT YOU

- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

- Proven ability to work autonomously with strong initiative, as well as collaboratively across teams.

- Strong project management capability with demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent projects.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

- Experience with NetSuite preferred, but not necessary.

Desirable:

- Experience within Commercial FFE and client management within a transformational, fast paced environment.

- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or a related discipline.
