We are partnering with a respected national not-for-profit organisation seeking a Service Team Lead to lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team delivering vital support services across the Mackay region.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership, community engagement and strategic service delivery while supporting carers, families and communities across the region.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving service excellence, developing team capability, strengthening community partnerships and ensuring the delivery of responsive, person-centred support. Your Role

You'll lead a diverse team of up to 12 staff across multiple service streams and locations, fostering a collaborative culture focused on excellence, innovation and person-centred support.

As the regional leader, you will play a key role in ensuring services are integrated, responsive and aligned with community needs while driving strategic initiatives that strengthen local support networks and build community capacity.

This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple regional locations, with regular travel required to support teams, build stakeholder relationships and maintain a strong presence within the community.

You will play a key role in:

- Leading, coaching and developing multidisciplinary teams across the region
- Driving service performance, contractual outcomes and key program targets
- Building strong relationships with community organisations, referral partners and key stakeholders




- Identifying opportunities to strengthen local service delivery and community impact
- Leading community development initiatives that support carers and families
- Overseeing quality, compliance and operational performance
- Supporting strategic planning, workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation
- Managing local operational responsibilities including workplace safety, fleet and site oversight
- Travel between regional service locations is required, therefore flexibility and the ability to regularly travel between sites is essential.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous leadership experience within community services, human services, health, disability, mental health or a related sector
- Solid people management and team development capabilities
- Experience managing service delivery, quality and performance outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Experience building stakeholder partnerships and driving community engagement initiatives
- Confidence interpreting data, preparing reports and monitoring KPIs
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for individuals, families and communities

Requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Check
- 100 Points of Identification
- Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- Australian working rights
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
