We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic Yard Manager in our Brisbane branch. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and the ability to work well under pressure.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the Yard Operational area including Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality matters
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment and ensure operations meet legislated requirements and company policies
- Manage the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Manage Yard Processes and operations to ensure safe and efficient functioning of the yard including being hands on as required
- Supervision and co-ordination of permanent and casual yard staff
- Ensure branch hire stock is continually maintained and serviced to required standard suitable for supply to site or inter-branch transfers
- Liaise with the Sales team and customers in relation to all sales enquiries, stock requirements, deliveries and returns
- Manage all intrastate, interstate and overseas stock movement
- Manage all stocktakes and stock checks
- Work closely with the administration team to manage stock demands for the branch whilst liasing regularly with the Queensland Operations Manager and the Sales Team
- Manage all deliveries and returns on time including transport arrangements
- Manage ‘New Goods’ stock levels and general procurement of stock and consumable items
- Manage the administration of Axapta related to the role and any other information processing systems
