We're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for an immediate start in a full-time, 7-month casual assignment through to the end of January 2027. Enjoy the opportunity to work within a stable and supportive local government environment while contributing to an essential payroll function.
Based in Box Hill, you'll play a key role in the end-to-end payroll function, supporting a workforce of approximately 1,200 employees. The role is responsible for processing payroll transactions, including manual timesheets (300-400 per pay cycle), leave entries, current starters, terminations, payroll amendments and responding to employee payroll enquiries. Payroll is processed on a fortnightly basis.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Essential: Previous experience using PayGlobal
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and payroll best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
