What you will be doing and delivering

As the Nursery Leading Hand, you will be based at our Warragul site, reporting to the Senior Grower – Nursery. You will play a key role in supporting the coordination of nursery operations by leading day-to-day activities, ensuring high-quality crop establishment, and maintaining efficient, safe and productive nursery operations. Working closely with the Nursery Grower and operational teams, you will support production targets, coach team members and contribute to the successful delivery of Flavorite's nursery program.

Key deliverables:

- Support the coordination of daily nursery activities, providing guidance and training to team members while maintaining a safe, collaborative and high-performing work environment.

- Complete and oversee crop establishment activities including sowing, grafting, staking, clipping, dispatch, plant trials and other nursery operations to meet quality and production targets.

- Monitor crop health, maintain nursery hygiene and biosecurity standards,



and ensure nursery equipment and tools are available, maintained and operated safely.

- Assist with production planning, workforce scheduling, stock recording and accurate completion of nursery documentation and operational records.

- Contribute to a safe workplace by following health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you will bring to the role

Qualifications:

- Current Forklift Licence (desirable).

Experience:

- Experience working in horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse or nursery operations.

- Previous experience leading, coaching or training team members is highly regarded.

- Experience undertaking crop establishment activities or similar production tasks.

- Experience working in a fast-paced operational workplace.

- Experience maintaining accurate records and following safe work procedures.

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of nursery operations, crop establishment techniques and plant handling practices.

- Ability to operate nursery equipment safely and efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards and complete accurate records.

- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, hygiene and biosecurity practices.

- Ability to work effectively within a team while coordinating daily operational priorities.
