The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking an experienced Production Trainer and Assessor to join our site production team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will take on this pro-active, operational role and drive a positive skills and proficiency improvement culture throughout the production team in order to meet and exceed operational goals.

In this role you will:

- Assess and identify training needs by conducting gap analysis reviews;

- Perform proficiency-based training and skills development for production workers;

- Complete accurate and detailed training assessments according to internal procedures and regulatory requirements;

- Ensure all competency documentation is completed satisfactorily;

- Assist in the review and update of site training records (electronic and physical files); and

- Ensure training management procedures are documented and implemented.

THE PERSON





To succeed in this role, it is vital that you have:

- Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery, in a mining workplace;

- Demonstrated experience in training and assessment in a mining environment;

- Good communication and interpersonal skills;

- Effective time management and organisational skills;

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;

- Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations desired but not essential; and

- Experience in procedure development.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
