About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 4 years of professional accounting experience to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, organised, and looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and manage financial records, general ledgers, and accounting transactions

- Prepare monthly management reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities including reconciliations and journal entries

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

- Daily bank reconciliation

- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, payroll tax, and superannuation obligations

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

- Monitor cash flow and banking transactions to support operational requirements

- Support payroll processing and reconciliation activities for operational staff





- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation obligations

- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities

About you

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

- 4 years of accounting experience in public practice or commercial workplace

- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax requirements

- Experience with accounting software such as Xero

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- You are a confident, proactive and detail-oriented Accountant who takes ownership and accountability for your work

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- CA or CPA commenced or intention to pursue qualification (desirable)
