We're looking for an experienced Social Worker / Counsellor to join our team, delivering evidence-based counselling that empowers people to improve their wellbeing, build resilience and move towards meaningful employment.
About the Role
You'll help participants overcome barriers and achieve sustainable employment outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based practice.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional counselling and therapeutic interventions, both virtually and in person
- Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and other barriers to employment
- Develop individualised intervention and support plans
- Maintain accurate case notes and reports
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers
- Promote client wellbeing, independence and social participation through trauma-informed practice
About You
You'll be someone who is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and enjoys building trusted relationships with clients.
You'll also bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Behavioural Science or another relevant Allied Health discipline
- Experience providing counselling services
- Experience supporting people experiencing mental health concerns and social disadvantage
- Strong interpersonal, communication and case management skills
- Commitment to evidence-based,
client-centred practice
Essential Requirements
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current registration, or eligibility to obtain registration, with the relevant Australian professional body where applicable
- Current Australian working rights and qualifications recognised in Australia
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the region if required
