Empower Living is seeking a calm, compassionate and experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team as a casual Complex Mental Health Disability Support Worker.You will provide person-centred support to participants with complex mental health needs and psychosocial disabilities.
This role requires patience, emotional resilience, sound professional judgement and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.For the right person, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and progress into key worker, senior support or leadership roles as Empower Living continues to grow.About the RoleDepending on each participant's individual needs, you may:Support participants experiencing complex mental health challenges and psychosocial disabilitiesBuild safe, respectful and consistent qualified relationshipsAssist with personal care, daily routines and independent living skillsProvide medication assistance within your qualifications, training and scope of practiceMonitor participants' health, wellbeing and changes in presentationRecognise and respond appropriately to signs of distress or deteriorationUse trauma-informed and recovery-oriented support approachesFollow individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plansUse positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategiesSupport appointments, community access and social participationMaintain clear professional boundariesComplete accurate shift notes, incident reports and other required documentationCommunicate with participants,



families and the broader care teamAbout YouYou will be a strong fit for this role if you are:A qualified Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registrationExperienced or genuinely interested in complex mental health and psychosocial disability supportCalm, patient and confident in challenging situationsAble to recognise changes in behaviour, mood and wellbeingSkilled in professional communication and de-escalationRespectful of participant choice, dignity, privacy and independenceReliable, emotionally resilient and able to work independentlyCommitted to person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practiceAvailable for casual shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, active nights and sleepoversExperience in disability support, mental health, community care or working with behaviours of concern is highly regarded.Essential RequirementsDiploma of NursingCurrent AHPRA registration as an Enrolled NurseNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking With Vulnerable People registrationNational Police CheckCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesNDIS Worker Orientation Module certificateCurrent Australian driver's licenceReliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insuranceValid Australian working rightsWillingness to complete participant-specific and mandatory trainingWhy Join Empower Living?
