About the Role
As a Sales & Events Assistant, you will support the Sales Managers and Events team throughout the entire client journey—from the initial enquiry through to the successful execution of each event.
This is a wide-ranging role that combines sales administration, client relationship management, event coordination, and operational support.
You'll gain exposure to weddings, corporate events, school formals, social celebrations, and gala dinners while learning from an experienced and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to new sales enquiries via phone and email.
Qualify leads and prepare tailored quotations and proposals.
Prepare contracts, booking documentation, and sales correspondence.
Coordinate event logistics from post-sale through to execution.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, caterers, venue operations, and external vendors.
Prepare, update, and distribute event documentation, including function sheets and operational briefs.
Assist with invoicing, payment collection, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
Participate in pre-event and post-event briefings to ensure exceptional event delivery.
Provide administrative support to the Sales and Events teams while maintaining accurate records within the CRM system.
About You
We're looking for someone who is motivated, personable, and eager to build a career in hospitality sales and events.
You will have:
6–12 months' experience in hospitality, event sales, event coordination, customer service, or a similar administrative role.
A genuine passion for sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence when speaking with clients both over the phone and face-to-face.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using CRM systems being advantageous.
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Full Australian working rights (essential).
