To assist with our continued growth and administration restructure, MHE is currently looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.
This current key role will sit between our customers and our workshop and will involve producing competitive quotations that balance customer expectations with company profitability.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with technical drawings, communicating with customers and suppliers, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our estimating processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for CNC milling, manual machining & fabrication projectsDevelop accurate quotations that meet customer specifications while maintaining target profit marginsWork closely with Workshop Supervisors to achieve delivery schedulesMaintain & build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors,



and internal stakeholdersObtain supplier pricing for materials and outsourced servicesCoordinate ordering of parts and materials for job completionMaintain and update estimating databases, project documentation, quotations, revisions and correspondenceContribute ideas to improve estimating processes and systemsGrow client relationships and identify new business opportunitiesAbout YouExperience in estimating, dealing with clients, suppliers & production teams.Ability to scope & interpret customer requirements, including technical drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is preferable)Innovative problem-solving skills and commercial thinkingCollaborative team player with a proactive approachDetail-oriented and highly organisedProfessional and customer-focusedGood understanding of common engineering & machining methods is an advantageWhat we OfferCompetitive salary based on experience, qualifications, and industry knowledgeCareer progression opportunities as the business continues to grow
