This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) that values culture, collaboration, community, and continuous learning.Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation is dedicated to supporting Aboriginal communities through a range of programs focused on culture, family preservation, and youth support.We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Accountant to support our organisation's financial operations and work closely with the management and administration team.About the PositionFull Time- 38 hours per weekBased at Cardiff NSWThe Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial management of Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust financial controls,



and compliance with relevant funding and regulatory requirements.This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting budgeting and reporting, Payroll and superannuation, BAS & Taxation, assisting with audits and acquittals, and working closely with the Finance Officer, Manager – Administration, and broader team to ensure the Organisation's finances are well managed and compliant.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and managing financial records and reportingPreparing and reviewing budgets, financial reports, and reconciliations, and Cash flow forecastingEnsuring compliance with funding, audit, and regulatory requirementsManaging payroll, Superannuation, LSL, and other employee related functionsManaging accounts payable and receivable processesLodgment of PAYG, BAS and FBT and other ATO reportsProviding financial advice and support to management and program staffLiaising with external stakeholders, including auditors and funding bodies, insurance companiesSupporting and strengthening financial systems and processes.Position RequirementsRelevant Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related fieldDemonstrated working experience in Financial AccountingBAS agent registrationNSW Driver's LicenseNational Police CheckWorking experience in Not- for- profit Organisations, and Government funded contractsAboriginality is preferable, but not essentialWhat we offerPayment in accordance with the SCHADS Award plus superannuation and leave loadingSalary packaging offered with CBBA culturally supportive and inclusive workplace with ongoing professional developmentThe opportunity to work in a community-led organisation, making a real difference
