Sodexo is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team on a casual basis.
This is a 2:1 FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) position based in Brisbane, QLD ****, offering flexibility for those seeking contract work.
As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our facilities through high-quality painting and surface preparation work.
This position is integral to ensuring our sites remain in excellent condition whilst delivering qualified results that reflect Sodexo's commitment to quality and excellence.Key responsibilitiesPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming as requiredApply paint, coatings and finishes to walls, ceilings, structural elements and other surfaces using brushes, rollers or spray equipmentSelect appropriate paint types, colours and finishes based on project specifications and client requirementsMaintain all painting equipment and tools in good working orderAdhere to health and safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipmentWork efficiently to meet project timelines and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issuesPerform surface restoration, touch-ups and remedial painting work as directedMaintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of materialsWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Painter or in a similar painting/decorating roleSolid knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methodsProficiency with painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, spray guns and scaffoldingFamiliarity with various paint types,



coatings and finishes used in commercial and industrial settingsStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanshipAbility to work safely and comply with all health and safety regulationsPhysical fitness and capability to perform tasks at heights and in varied conditionsFlexibility to work on a 2:1 FIFO rosterCurrent driver's licenceRelevant qualifications or certifications in painting or surface preparation (preferred)Willingness to work independently and as part of a teamWhat we offerSodexo values its workforce and offers competitive casual rates for this position.
