Due to strong ongoing growth, we are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team.
Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will lead and support projects through all phases — from initial design through to on-site commissioning.
You'll ensure delivery to scope, schedule and budget, while maintaining high technical standards and solid client relationships.
You will be a proactive, self-driven professional, capable of working independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
Key Responsibilities




Interface directly with clients to define and clarify scope and technical requirements
Develop technical documentation from concept through to detailed design
Prepare Heat & Mass Balances, PFDs, P&IDs;, equipment lists, and datasheets
Perform heat transfer and fluid flow calculations
Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop GA, elevation layouts, and piping drawings
Write clear and concise process descriptions
Perform interdisciplinary coordination to minimise design errors
Conduct Risk Assessments and participate in HAZOP studies
Prepare tender work packages and procurement documentation
Manage contractor work packages and third-party equipment procurement
Report on project schedule, budget, and progress
Participate actively in project phases including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Travel as required for meetings, site work, and commissioning support
Qualifications and Experience
Engineering degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Food & Beverage Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in process engineering, ideally within the food, beverage, or chemical industries
Strong knowledge of process fundamentals and systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts
Proven project implementation and execution experience
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Detail-focused with a proactive and creative mindset
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently
Competency in project planning and time management
Drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or Plant 3D (preferred)
Willingness to travel interstate as needed
RPEQ registered is preferred
