Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, balancing competing priorities across scheduling coordination and financial administration with ease.
Your responsibilities will include:Be the welcoming first point of contact for patients, specialists and referrers, in person and over the phoneCoordinate appointment scheduling,
diaries and general enquiriesManage incoming referrals and keep clinical records accurate and up to dateMaintain patient files within the practice's medical software systemLook after billing, patient accounts and Medicare / health fund claimingBuild strong working relationships with hospitals, allied health and other providersProvide reliable administrative support to the practice management team and cliniciansHelp keep the practice running efficiently from open to close each dayTo be considered for this role, you will bring a minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally gained within a health or medical environment.
A solid understanding of the Australian private health insurance system is highly regarded.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, people-facing environment will set you up for success.
