CBased Environmental, a leading supplier of environmental monitoring, technical, and analytical services throughout NSW, is currently seeking a Environmental Field Technician to join their team to help with our expanded workload.
The position is based in the Mudgee region or its surrounding localities.All training is provided and applicants which meet the mandatory requirements below are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Support the Field Services team in delivering environmental monitoring services to clientsPrepare for and coordinate field workOperate sampling equipment and conduct field analysisRetrieve data and maintain equipmentPerform equipment maintenance and calibrationMandatory Requirements:Ability to coordinate a small teamSafety focusedAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood problem-solving skillsCurrent Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence with the ability to drive manual 4WD vehiclesFlexibility in work hours to accommodate company schedules in the outdoor environmentWillingness to undergo ongoing drug and alcohol testingBe able to pass a mine compliant medicalPreferred Qualifications and Experience:Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and TechnologyDegree in Environmental Science or related disciplinesLand management experienceExperience in the environmental or laboratory sectorsExperience working in outdoor environments in all conditionsPrevious experience working on mining or extractive industry sitesAdditional Information:The position is initially full time role, but could be offered as a 4 day permanent/part time role for the right applicant if this was a desired work pattern.Work is primarily in the Ulan area, with occasional travel ( 5 days per quarter) to other work sites within regional NSW if desired by the applicantThe role offers hands-on training in all aspects of environmental monitoring within the resources industryRemuneration is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
