The Opportunity
Minkara Resort is in the heart of Sydney's Northern Beaches with stunning views over Bayview and Mona Vale.
Set over 30 acres, the community creates a tranquil setting for low-maintenance retirement.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will play an important role within the community ensuring homes and shared spaces are safe, functional and well presented.
You'll manage a range of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, from repairs to general handyperson work, while engaging positively with residents.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a trade background or strong domestic maintenance experience, who is friendly, proactive, and passionate about helping others.
This is a permanent full time position working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Your Impact
Completing general repairs and handyperson tasks such as painting, picture hanging and light replacementsPerforming small plumbing maintenance, including replacing taps and washersSupporting the upkeep of external assets such as lighting and sprinkler systemsCarrying out scheduled preventative maintenance across the communityManaging community tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, organised and fit for purposeRecording maintenance activities,



notes and job updatesBeing a friendly and approachable presence for residents while working closely with a supportive teamPlease note - this is not a gardening role (we have that covered!)
Whatyou'llbring
Experience in a general maintenance or trade‐based role, including hands‐on handyperson tasksA proactive, solutions‐focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take actionAn understanding of maintenance cycles and the expected lifespan of equipment and village assetsClear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‐friendly wayA positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your workA valid driver's licence (essential)Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
