This isn't a role for someone who wants to lead from a desk — you'll be hands-on with programming, embedded in the team, and driving real change in practice.You'll join a purpose-built centre with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, a holistic program philosophy, and a leadership team that genuinely invests in their EL.
You'll have dedicated non-contact time built into your week — protected time to plan, reflect, and lead.Our Educational Leader time is structured around a clear rule of thumb: one hour of base EL time per week, plus one additional hour per room in the service.
In a 5-room service, that's 6 hours of protected non-contact time every week.We are currently seeking Educational Leaders to work permanent full time hours.Please read before applying1.
This role is NOT eligible for employer-sponsored visas (visa sponsorship).
You must already hold the right to work in Australia.
2. On this occasion, we are unable to accept applicants working towards their diploma qualification, or applicants whose only qualification is a Graduate Diploma or Masters of Teaching without the required experience (see below).
3. Our centres operate extended hours.
Whilst we do our best to be flexible, candidates must be available to work opening shifts,



closing shifts, or both.
We are unable to accommodate school-hours-only availability.What You'll Actually Do:Drive curriculum through Teach a Rainbow — lead the ongoing implementation and development of our Teach a Rainbow programming framework, ensuring it is embedded with fidelity and creativity across all rooms.Mentor and build capability — provide regular, constructive feedback to educators that builds their confidence, practice and professional identity.Lead EYLF-aligned programming — develop and evaluate play-based programs that reflect current early childhood research and each child's unique learning journey.Champion holistic learning — weave together diverse experiences across health and fitness, culture, music, language, cooking and outdoor education.Partner with families — collaborate with families to enrich and extend each child's learning journey.Support regulatory compliance — maintain accurate documentation and quality practices aligned with the National Quality Framework.Educational Leader Allowance — on top of your hourly rate.Birthday Leave — a paid day off to celebrate you (permanent team members).
