Join SDN Newtown in a unique Inclusion Support role within our preschool program.About The RoleThis will include:This is a Max Tem Part Time Inclusion Support Service Role (Monday -Friday) Total 25 hours per week in the Preschool RoomFunded position to support inclusion with the Preschool Room groupFocus on supporting the educational program, routines and overall team deliveryAssist with inclusive practices across the whole groupMaintain active supervision and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environmentWork collaboratively with the team to meet children's needsDevelop and maintain nurturing relationships and communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basisPromote and guide positive behaviourCollaborate with children about their interests and support children in learning about the decision-making processCreate a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment to foster and support development (physical, social, emotional, language, creative and cognitive)Create an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitionsProvide physical care, assisting children in toileting, dressing and mealtimes and identify and respond to babies / infants' cues and needsAssist in the observation and evaluation of the children's developmentAssist in developing good nutritional practices for childrenEnsure that the dignity and rights of each child are maintained at all timesAssist in the management of a group or groups of childrenImplement and maintain the elements of National Quality Standards (NQS)
and EYLFEnsure regular exchange of relevant centre-based informationAbout YouYou will have the following:Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and CareOpen to applicants with strong motivation and willingness to learnStrong teamwork/teambuilding and communication skillsCurrent Working with Children's Check (NSW)Knowledge of the National Quality StandardsExperience in a similar roleKnowledge of the Early Years Learning FrameworkExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCurrent CPR and First Aid CertificateAsthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)Excellent relationship building skillsUnderstanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification.What is on offerAbove award pay and conditions (plus WRP)Discounted childcare fees & priority placement for your childrenRostered day off per month (full time staff)Generous leave entitlements, including 12 days personal / carer's leaveProfessional training and development to support you to continue to learn and growEmployee Assistance ProgramWhat is it like to work with us?
