We are looking for experienced underground drillers to join our operations at Dendrobium Coal Mine.
About the Role
The Driller is involved in the planning, execution and management of all phases of directional drilling to deliver services that exceed client expectations with safety in mind at all times.
This role acts as the primary liaison between Management and underground crews, while ensuring that technical drilling plans align to operational work being carried out.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Drilling Offsiders and carry out site set-up, site maintenance, site pack-up and rig move activities safely and accordance with site standards
Keep abreast of all drilling techniques and surveying methods
Deliver quality service that meets client expectations and industry standards
Complete all reporting requirements
Complete handovers to oncoming driller and supervisor
Effectively manage the security and inventory of tools, equipment spares and consumable items at the underground drill site
What We're Looking For
Absolute understanding of UIS drilling processes and gas drainage/management practices within the underground drill site
Ability to supervise other workers, providing direction, training, coaching and correction as required
Certificate III in Drilling
Prior sign-off as an underground unaccompanied worker
Previous experience as a Driller's Offsider and Trainee Directional Driller
Other machine appointments such as underground Loader and Man-Transporter
