Task & responsibilities
Assisting engineers in preparing technical drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projectsConducting site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress and complianceReading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and design specificationsUndertaking material and soil testing to check compliance with engineering standardsPreparing reports on inspection findings, test results, and project progressAssisting with the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and material quantitiesUsing surveying and testing equipment safely and in accordance with proceduresLiaising with engineers, contractors,



and site personnel to resolve technical issuesEnsuring all work is completed in line with project specifications and deadlinesFollowing workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Qualification & experience
At least 1 year of experience as a civil engineering technician or in a related roleDiploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related qualification) advantageous but not requiredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsFamiliarity with surveying, testing, and quality control proceduresStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipPhysically fit and able to work in construction site conditionsReliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
