About the Opportunity
The Key Account Manager serves as the dedicated primary point of contact for Nippon Express Australia's corporate clients.
The successful candidate must be fluent in Japanese (verbal and written).
Moving beyond standard operational support, this role is responsible for the total coordination of end-to-end logistics solutions, seamlessly integrating Air/Sea international freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and domestic contract logistics/delivery.
By deeply understanding the unique business cultural nuances and high service quality expectations of Corporate accounts, the incumbent ensures operational excellence, proactively resolves complex supply chain challenges, and fosters long-term client retention and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely, professional, and culturally appropriate communication
Build and maintain solid, long-term relationships with client stakeholders across local operations and overseas headquarters.
Oversee and coordinate the entire end-to-end supply chain process: from international cargo booking, customs brokerage clearance, to warehouse storage/inventory management and final-mile delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams (Air, Ocean, Customs, Warehouse, and Transport) to meet client SLAs and KPIs.
Proactively monitor shipments and logistics flows to identify, isolate, and resolve any bottlenecks, delays, or disruptions before they impact the client.
Lead the investigation of service issues, provide structured troubleshooting, and communicate transparent, timely solutions to clients.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling logistics and warehousing services and provide leads to sales team.
About you
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in international freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing, or dedicated account management(Japanese customers preferred)
Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end logistics operations, including freight, customs, warehousing, and transport.
Experience using, freight management systems, preferably CargoWise One (CW1), for shipment tracking, documentation, and invoicing.
Salesforce knowledge is highly regarded
