Our people are at the heart of what we do.The RoleThis hands-on role focuses on maintaining lawns, gardens, trees and landscaped areas across the racecourse.
You'll work as part of a close-knit team and support event and race day preparation.As a BRC Gardener you will be responsible for:Ensuring that the grounds and gardens, environs of the Eagle Farm Racecourse, Doomben Racecourse, The Eagle Farm Infield Precinct, Racecourse Village and all other venues of the club operates and manages are maintained to the highest standard,
as set by the Club and Head of Grounds and Gardens.This position will involve detailed garden maintenance including the following:Maintaining the visual aspect of the properties to a high standardLawn and garden maintenance servicesPest and disease managementWeed managementIrrigation knowledgePruning and hedgingOperation of tools and equipmentMaintenance of tools and equipmentEnsure that property is kept in immaculate conditionNew plantation on the propertySkills and Qualifications to perform the role:Minimum Cert III in Horticulture: 3 years (Preferred)Certificate I - IV (Preferred)Knowledge and appreciation of OH&S; and systemsDemonstrated experience maintaining gardens and groundsHerbicide / Chemical Users Certificate highly regardedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHave a strong work ethic and excellent time-management skillsAbility to work as a team to achieve common goalsAustralians Driver's license- Manual C classMust be reliable and committed to work early mornings and on weekends when needed.Must be motivated, able to work unsupervised and autonomouslyWhy Join the Gardens Team?
