WYNCO Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Civil Structures Leading Hand to join an established contractor delivering civil and marine infrastructure projects across North Brisbane.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with robust experience across formwork, reinforcement steel, structural concrete and set out.
Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you'll lead a small crew while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Offering consistent full-time hours, regular overtime and long-term opportunities, this is an excellent role for someone looking to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading and coordinating a crew of 4-5 workers and subcontractorsSupervising formwork installation and strippingReading and interpreting structural drawings and specificationsCompleting accurate set-out for formwork and concrete worksInstalling and checking reinforcement steel, mesh, ligatures and starter barsCoordinating concrete pours, including preparation, placement, vibration and curingCompleting concrete screeding, levelling, edging and finishingChecking levels, dimensions,



falls and tolerances throughout constructionEnsuring formwork and reinforcement are inspected prior to concrete placementMaintaining productivity, quality and a strong safety culture on site
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Leading Hand within civil structures, marine construction, structural concrete or civil infrastructure projectsStrong hands-on experience with formwork, reinforcement steel and structural concreteDemonstrated experience completing accurate set-out using lasers, levels and measuring equipmentAbility to read and interpret structural drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of concrete pour preparation and sequencingProven ability to lead and motivate small construction crewsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong commitment to safety, quality and productivityConstruction White CardDriver's Licence and reliable transport
Highly Regarded
Experience delivering civil structures including culverts, headwalls, retaining structures, bridge works or marine infrastructureCarpentry or relevant trade qualificationHR LicenceFirst Aid CertificatePlant operating ticketsExperience working on major civil infrastructure projects
