Marland Mushrooms QLD is a leading mushroom producer supplying major supermarkets from our purpose-built facility in Stapylton.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a permanent salary position.
Days/hours of work: Monday - Thursday 2pm starts (approx) - 12 midnight finish (approx) Minimum of 38 hours in the 4 days
This role is critical to ensuring the ongoing performance and reliability of our mushroom compost filling machines and associated equipment.
You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure production runs efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical maintenance breakdowns, fault finding, and repairs on mushroom compost filling machines and associated site equipment.
Light and sensor replacements and general electrical maintenance
Ensure filling equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and consistently
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and production interruptions




Respond promptly to equipment faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime
Work closely with the Production Manager to support operations and production targets
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across equipment and processes
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
About You:
Solid experience in maintenance within a food production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with production teams
Skills and experience
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment (preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing HACCP and GMP standards.
Experience in the food industry an advantage.
