Lead Advanced Mental Health Care in the Emergency Department!
Join the Bayside Emergency Department Mental Health Team at Redland Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner and deliver advanced, recovery-focused mental health care within a dynamic 24/7 emergency environment.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and clinical leadership while driving creative models of care that improve outcomes for consumers experiencing acute mental health and behavioural health concerns.Your new role:As the Nurse Practitioner within the Bayside ED Mental Health Team, you will deliver advanced clinical care while leading innovation and service improvement across emergency mental health services.
Practising to the full scope of your Nurse Practitioner endorsement, you'll provide timely, evidence-based interventions that support high-quality consumer outcomes.You will:Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and coordinated care for consumers presenting with mental health and behavioural health concerns.Lead rapid clinical decision-making, facilitating timely referrals, treatment pathways and patient flow within the Emergency Department.Drive improvements to nurse-led models of care through quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice.Mentor and support Emergency Department clinicians, strengthening capability and confidence in managing mental health presentations.About you:You are an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who thrives in fast-paced clinical environments and is committed to delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care.You will bring:Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a Master's qualification in Nurse Practitioner studies.Extensive advanced clinical experience in addiction and mental health, ideally within emergency or acute care settings.Exceptional leadership, communication and collaboration skills,
