As plant and equipment operations continue to centralise across the group, this role will lead governance, standardisation, utilisation, and performance across multiple yards, fleets, and projectinterfaces nationally.
The Opportunity
OCU-ANZ is seeking an experienced Plant & Equipment Manager to oversee the management, optimisation, and governance of plant, fleet, and equipment assets across the group.
This role is responsible for ensuring all equipment is compliant, fit for purpose, and effectively utilised to support project delivery across multiple business units.
Working closely with operations, HSE, finance, and senior leadership, you will drive consistency across plant systems, improve utilisation, and support strategic asset decisions.
This is a key leadership role for someone whounderstands both the operational demands of construction and energy projects and the importance of disciplined fleet and asset management at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end management of plant, equipment, and fleet assets across OCU-ANZ
Ensure all assets are maintained, compliant, and aligned with legislative and manufacturer requirements
Oversee asset registers, utilisation reporting, and fleet performance across multiple sites
Manage mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment across projects and yards
Drive standardised systems, processes, and governance for plant management across the group
Ensure WHS compliance, inspection regimes, and defect management processes are maintained
Support incident investigations relating to plant and equipment
Optimise utilisation, reduce downtime, and improve overall fleet efficiency
Manage supplier relationships, hire agreements, and service contractsSupport capital planning, replacement strategies, and cost control initiatives
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership
Skills & Experience
7+ years' experience in plant, fleet, or equipment management in construction, infrastructure, or heavy industry
Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, maintenance systems, and compliance requirements
Experience managing multi-site or large-scale equipment fleets
Strong understanding of WHS legislation and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
Commercially aware with solid cost and utilisation focus
Experience with asset management or ERP systems highly regarded
Construction White Card and Open Driver's Licence required
