Join CDC NSW as our next Workshop Supervisor – Panel Shop, and play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and road‐ready.About the RoleReporting to the Fleet Manager, you'll oversee the PM shift day‐to‐day operations of the CDC NSW Panel Shop.
Your focus will be on ensuring safe, high‐quality, and cost‐effective delivery of vehicle repairs and refurbishments,
while managing workshop planning, quoting, compliance, and staff coaching.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and oversee repair/refurbishment jobs, ensuring timelines and budget targets are metCollaborate with staff to assess damage and determine scopes of workPrepare accurate estimates for labour, materials, and third‐party servicesLiaise with insurers, assessors, and the claims team to get approvals and process variationsManage workshop resources and ensure the quality of completed workMonitor costs vs. estimates and provide variance reportsCoach and mentor the workshop team to improve safety and efficiencyManage ERP transactions, internal sales orders, and parts catalogue pricingEnsure ongoing compliance with HSE standards and promote a strong safety cultureWhat You'll NeedQualifications:Trade qualified Spray Painter or Panel Beater (essential)Certificate IV in Front Line Management (preferred)HR Driver's Licence, Forklift Licence, EWP Licence (all preferred)Experience:Strong background in heavy vehicle repair, ideally in the bus industryLeadership experience in a panel shop or smash repair settingProven ability to prepare quotes and timelines accuratelyExperience managing insurance repairs and claims processesSkills & Attributes:Strong communication and negotiation skillsExcellent planning and resource managementConfident with Microsoft Office and ERP systemsAbility to influence and coach othersWhy Join Us?
