The Community Child, Youth and Family Health team provides culturally appropriate universal and targeted services to families within the Cairns urban area.
These services are delivered in partnership by a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, social workers,psychologists, speech pathologist, indigenous health workersand administration officers.
Programs include maternal andinfant health, child health, youth health and parental support.

About your role
In this position you will....
.
Provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership within Child, Youth and Family Health Services, applying contemporary evidence-based knowledge and specialist clinical judgement to guide service delivery and practice standards.
Provide clinical leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate the Child Youth and Family Health service to achieve organisational and departmental goals.




Provide specialist child and family health expertise across universal and targeted service streams, supporting assessment, care planning, and management frameworks underpinned by contemporary evidence and best practice.
Act as a clinical leader, educator, mentor, and expert resource, supporting workforce development and capability building from novice to advanced practice in collaboration with the Nurse Education team.
