Working from a modern, purpose-built rail maintenance facility on the Central Coast, you'll be involved in upgrading Australia's newest passenger train fleet while working alongside a highly skilled engineering and maintenance team.What's on Offer$***** per hour plus penalty rates and shift loadingsMonday to Friday | 6:30am - 3:00pmImmediate startInitial 3-month contract with strong extension potentialModern, state-of-the-art rail maintenance facilityStable project with Australia's leading rail transport providerKey ResponsibilitiesInstall and retrofit mechanical and electrical components on passenger rolling stockCarry out electrical cabling, mechanical assembly and precision fittingPerform testing,



commissioning and functional checksDiagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faultsRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationComplete quality, safety and maintenance documentationWork collaboratively with engineers, supervisors and project teamsMaintain compliance with rail safety and WHS requirementsAbout YouTo be successful, you will have:Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III or higher)A Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical applicants)Experience within rolling stock, heavy vehicles, mining, defence, aviation, mobile plant or similar industriesStrong fault-finding, assembly and troubleshooting skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent safety focus and ability to work independently or within a teamPre-Employment Requirements Successful applicants will be required to complete:Category 3 Rail Medical including Drug & Alcohol ScreeningNational Police CheckAustralian Work Rights VerificationTrade Skills AssessmentReference ChecksRIW Card (if not already held)If you're an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Tradesperson looking to work on one of Australia's largest passenger rolling stock projects, we'd love to hear from you.
