The Prospect

We're now seeking an experienced Coordinator Workplace Health and Safety to help us build a proactive, organisation-wide safety culture that supports both physical and psychosocial wellbeing.
This is a hands‐on, influential role where you'll work closely with leaders and employees across the organisation, providing practical advice, driving continuous improvement and ensuring our systems, practices and behaviours support a safe and healthy workplace.
Key Accountabilities
You'll be actively shaping how safety is understood, embedded and lived across Murray PHN, helping people feel supported, informed and confident at work.
Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety systems, policies and procedures that are practical, compliant and embedded in everyday work.
Take a leading role in WHS audits, providing timely information and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations and findings.
Coordinate the implementation of psychosocial hazard risk controls and measures, ensuring compliance with legislation is maintained.
Oversee incident reporting, investigations and trend analysis, identifying root causes and driving meaningful, preventative actions.
Support effective consultation through the WHS Committee and Health and Safety Representatives, building capability and shared ownership of safety outcomes.
Coordinate injury management and workers compensation processes, supporting timely, safe and sustainable return to work outcomes.
About You
Bringing a balance of technical expertise and approachability, you'll have the ability to build strong working relationships across a geographically dispersed workforce.
Experience supporting psychosocial safety initiatives, audits, or workers compensation and return to work programs will be highly regarded.
A relevant qualification in workplace health and safety and/or equivalent experience, with at least three years in a similar coordination role.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and the ability to interpret and apply requirements in a practical,



people‐centred way.
Experience developing WHS policies, procedures, risk registers and reports that speak to a range of audiences.
Confidence coordinating training, engaging stakeholders and facilitating WHS committees or consultation forums.
Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement activities.
A current driver's licence and willingness to regularly travel across our regional footprint as needed.
