We're looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team at our new Yatala depot.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing and growing the mechanical function within a new location, where your experience, initiative and leadership will make a real impact.Working on a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles, you'll enjoy the autonomy to make decisions, support apprentices, and help drive workshop excellence while being backed by a business that continues to invest in its people, equipment and network.What You'll Be DoingServicing, maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy vehiclesDiagnosing faults using industry-leading diagnostic equipmentConducting safety inspections and compliance checksMaintaining accurate service and repair recordsWorking closely with operational teams to keep freight moving safelySupporting and mentoring apprenticesContributing to the growth and success of our new Yatala workshopAbout YouCertificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical TechnologyMinimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experienceAbility to work independently and confidently make decisionsCurrent HR Licence (essential)Forklift Licence (advantageous)Experience with Volvo and Kenworth trucks highly regardedStrong communication and organisational skillsSafety-focused with a commitment to quality workmanshipComfortable working autonomously while contributing to a team environmentWhat's In It For You?
