Reach Legal Consultant | Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer | Sydney3d ago , from Illawarra Mercury Job BoardThe OpportunityJoin a leading financial services organisation in a role that will strengthen your legal career.Duration: 3-6 months Arrangement: Full time (hybrid) Location: SydneyAbout YouYour Experience & Expertise:Experience working in an in-house legal, compliance, risk or regulatory function, ideally within financial servicesDemonstrated experience assessing regulatory incidents, compliance issues or potential breaches against applicable legal and compliance obligationsExperience drafting breach reports, compliance notices, regulatory notifications or incident reports for regulators such as ASIC or APRAStrong understanding of financial services regulatory obligations, particularly in relation to breach reporting, incident assessment and compliance frameworksFamiliarity with superannuation, insurance, wealth management, investment funds or financial advice businesses would be highly advantageousExperience working with external or related stakeholders, such as insurance brokers, superannuation trustees, responsible entities and financial advisory businessesAbility to manage overflow incident assessment work during periods of increased reporting or system transition activityYour Skills & Attributes:Strong regulatory judgement and the ability to assess whether incidents may constitute breaches of compliance obligationsStrong drafting skills, including the ability to prepare clear incident reports, breach reports,
