Peninsula Private Hospital is looking for an experienced nurse to join our established Perioperative team.
You will bring your passion for teaching/education alongside a focus on quality outcomes to your role.About UsPeninsula Private is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 6 operating theatres and a recent high dependency unit to open in the near future, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula.
Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.As an Operating Theatre Educator, your responsibilities will include:Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control)Lead and foster a learning environmentMaintains a professional and constructive working relationshipsPrioritises Healthscope's patient safety and quality frameworksBachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualificationRegistered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Certificate in workplace assessment and trainingLead and support Quality activities and programsCurrent AHPRA RegistrationPost Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing or clinical educationCertificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation3+ years clinical experience in perioperative nursingDemonstrated experience in eLearning platformsProven communication and interpersonal skillsHigh degree of computer literacy including MS OfficeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWWCCCurrent Police CheckPost Graduate qualification in area of clinical practiceWhy Healthscope?
