Ensure all inputs into products comply with prevailing legislations and standardsPlace Purchase orders based on requisitionsTrack orders and provide updates to the teamCommunicate daily with suppliers regarding demand and deliveryAdjust orders based on variations between forecasted and actual volumeBuild and maintain supplier relationships to support strategic sourcingCollaborate with the planning team on production planningEnsure quality assurance in line with food safety guidelinesPurchase direct and raw materialsManage stock control variancesContribute to annual stocktake and manage regular stocktake proceduresThe ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing.Experience working within the fast moving consumer goods industry (min 1 year)Experience with procurement of beverage and beverage inputs HIGHLY DESIRABLE.Experience in food processing, with solid production knowledge.Advanced experience with Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.Sound problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detailRelevant tertiary or secondary qualificationExperience using an ERP system or relevant accounting system
