CN - Rockhampton - Acute Care Team (Adult)
Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse (Grade 6) to join the Acute Care Team at Rockhampton Mental Health for a four‐week contract running from 17 August to 13 September ****.
This is a full‐time position offering $***** to $***** per hour, working 76 hours per fortnight across a mix of day and night shifts.
The successful candidate will bring mental health nursing expertise to a busy acute care environment, supporting adults through assessment, triage, and clinical care in a regional Queensland setting.
Four‐week contract with versatile shift patterns including weekends and on‐call availability
$***** to $***** per hour, with shared accommodation provided and domestic travel reimbursement up to $200 each way
Opportunity to work in acute mental health care with a structured team in a Modified Monash Model MM2 location
Preferred Requirements




Current mental health nursing experience, with demonstrated competence in acute care settings
Proven ability to perform triage assessment and prioritise clinical needs effectively
Current driver's licence (mandatory for this role)
Willingness to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends, with agreement to maintain an 8-hour break between shifts
Ability to work with manual timesheets and comply with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service protocols
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Mental health nursing qualification or post‐graduate study in mental health care
General Criminal History Check clearance (required prior to commencement)
