Captain Cook Cruises

New South Wales

Trade the four walls for harbour views.
Captain Cook Cruises, The Jackson and the Starship Group are on the hunt for a Kitchenhand who's ready to bring the hustle — someone bright, energetic, and hard-working who wants a job that actually feels different every day!
About the Role
Under the guidance of the Chef, the Kitchenhand is the engine room of our catering operations — the person who makes sure everything else in the galley can run at full speed.
Day to day, you'll:
Set up and stock the kitchen before every cruise
Keep every surface, station and piece of equipment spotless
Wash up and reset stations at pace so service never misses a beat
Lend a hand with food prep and plating
Help receive and organise deliveries, rotating stock so nothing sits a day longer than it should
Pack down and reset the vessel at the end of each cruise, ready for the next one
What sets this apart from a normal kitchen job is the setting: you're on the water, with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House sliding past while you work.
No two shifts feel the same — one cruise is a corporate lunch, the next a sunset function, the next a boat full of tourists seeing the Harbour for the first time.
If you've got ambitions beyond the pot sink, we notice the people who show up, work hard, and want more.
About You
You're a hardworking, reliable person with a keen eye for detail — you notice when something's out of place and sort it without being asked.
You keep your composure and pace when service gets slammed, take hygiene and food safety seriously simply because it's how you work, and back your crewmates up without waiting to be asked twice.
You've got the stamina for a full shift on your feet,

plus the flexibility for evenings and weekends — and you bring a positive energy that lifts the people working around you.
No experience required.
We'll teach you the ropes — you bring the drive.
Applications close by 5pm on Wednesday 12 August ****
