Disability Support Workers & Nurses (Community & Residential)At JJ Care Services, we're looking for compassionate, reliable Support Workers and Nurses to join our growing team across both our Home & Community Care services and our Residential Care Facility in Gymea Bay.Whether you're an experienced support worker, nurse, nursing student or just passionate about care, we'd love to hear from you.We have immediate starts available, with both casual and permanent positions for the right people.In these roles, you'll support people living with disability and older Australians with a range of needs, including dementia, cognitive impairment, physical disability and complex support requirements.
No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives.About the RolesWe're currently hiring across two service areas:Community Support (Home & Community Care)Support clients in their own homes and out in the community, helping them maintain independence and achieve their goals.You'll provide a mix of:Personal careCommunity access and transportSocial supportRespite servicesDomestic assistanceThis role involves travelling between clients and offers flexible shifts across a 24-hour roster.
Shift lengths vary, with a minimum of two hours and opportunities to work multiple shifts each day.Residential Support (Gymea Bay)Join our dedicated team providing 24/7 care within our purpose-built residential facility.This is a structured, team-based environment with strong clinical support, caring for residents with high-care and dementia-specific needs.The role operates on a rotating roster that includes day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.What You'll Be DoingAs part of our team, you'll:Provide personal care, including showering, toileting, continence and mobility supportAssist with meals,
household tasks and daily living activitiesSupport clients to attend appointments and participate in community activitiesFollow individual care plans and clinical directionsComplete accurate documentation and progress notesDeliver high-quality support to people with complex care needsResidential team members may also assist with medication support, observations and other delegated clinical tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurses.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for people who are caring, dependable and genuinely enjoy supporting others.Ideally you'll have:Experience in disability, aged care or community services (nursing students encouraged to apply)Confidence providing hands-on personal careThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and documentation skillsA positive attitude, reliability and a commitment to quality careEssential RequirementsTo be considered, you'll need:NDIS Worker Screening CheckPaid Working With Children CheckCurrent First Aid and CPRCurrent Driver Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicleFull Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available)Before You ApplyThese are rewarding but hands-on roles and may involve:Providing personal careSupporting people with complex needs and behavioursTravelling between clients (Community roles)Working rotating rosters, including overnight and weekend shifts (Residential roles)Please note that overnight shifts are a mandatory requirement for residential positions.If you're looking for fixed hours, low-intensity support work or roles with minimal personal care, these positions may not be the right fit.Why Join JJ Care Services?
