About the Position
Baker & Provan is looking for an experienced Recruiter / HR / Support Officer to join our team and take the lead in a recruitment drive for a large project on a casual basis for the next two - three months.
There is potential for the contract to be extended on a longer-term basis (approximately two - three years), subject to the successful acquisition of a project.
You will be responsible for all aspects of recruitment, HR, coordinating movements, onboarding, project admin support services and maintaining employee documentation throughout the duration of the project life span.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Provide general office and administrative support to the project team.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process and HR matters for a high-volume workforce requirement, with a growing team to support you.
Draft and post job advertisements across various recruitment platforms.
Source and screen candidates to identify suitable applicants.
Conduct initial candidate interviews and reference checks.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Arrange and coordinate travel arrangements, welding tests, trade assessments, and other pre-employment evaluations.
Facilitate the onboarding process,
including preparation of employment contracts and induction documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files and records.
Ensure all employee documentation is compliant with company and project requirements.
Monitor employee certifications, licences, and training records to ensure ongoing compliance.
Respond to recruitment and employment-related enquiries from candidates and employees.
Coordinate employee accommodation, travel, and site access requirements where applicable.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in recruitment, human resources, administration, or a similar role.
Robust ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail for all aspects.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Ability to liaise with employees, recruitment agencies, and relevant stakeholders regarding potential visa and work eligibility requirements.
Payroll experience will be highly regarded.
