Assistant Accountant | 12 Month Maternity Leave Contract | Financial ServicesA well-regarded business is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 12-month contract, covering maternity leave.The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day cash management function, working closely with the project accountants.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone with solid junior AR/AP and cash payments experience, and a mature, proactive approach.Managing all cash flows and processing paymentsAssisting with accounts payable and receivableBank reconciliations and cash reportingSupporting the transition to SAP as the business migrates onto the recent systemAssisting with month‐end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliationsAd hoc analysis and process improvement supportAbout YouStrong experience in a similar role, ideally within financial servicesStrong AR/AP and cash payments backgroundAccounting experience essential, though CA/CPA qualification is not requiredSAP experience highly regardedA proactive, approach with the ability to hit the ground running with minimal oversight
