This is your opportunity.Working closely alongside our Sales Director, you will play a vital role in our end-to-end estimating process across a varied portfolio of commercial projects.
Positioned at the heart of our operations, you will work hand-in-hand with both our Sales and Project teams to help transition projects seamlessly from a competitive bid to a live, successful build.This role is designed to give you the structure, mentorship,
and hands-on experience needed to quickly progress into a fully autonomous Estimator.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Sales team to understand client briefs and assist in preparing competitive, high-quality tender packages.Partner with the Project Delivery teams to ensure seamless handovers, clear scope clarity, and accurate cost tracking.end-to-end project estimating, cost planning, and the preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Develop comprehensive scopes of work and engage in subcontractor negotiations to secure the best project outcomes.Contribute to pre-tender planning and team programming sessions.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 1–2 years of experience in an estimating or contract administration role within the Australian construction industry.A background or solid interest in commercial construction, fitouts, or refurbishments is highly regarded.Proficient in MS Excel, Procore and industry-standard estimating software.Exceptional analytical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the confidence to negotiate and communicate across sales, project teams, and subcontractors.A tertiary qualification (or currently studying towards one) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.Why Choose Modstruct?
