As our Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager, you'll be the on floor leader who drives service excellence, guest satisfaction and team performance across daily operations and major event days.What you'll be doingLead service operations across breakfast, lunch and peak event periods, ensuring seamless execution even under pressureElevate guest experience by lifting RPS,
Google and TripAdvisor scores through proactive engagement and service recovery.Engage VIPs and Accor members with personalised recognition and loyalty‐driven experiences.Grow revenue per seat through structured upselling, beverage storytelling and strategic recommendations.Inspire and mentor your team, fostering a high‐performance culture aligned with LQA standards and Heartist values.Roster, forecast and manage labour, ensuring staffing is aligned with hotel occupancy and event demand.Collaborate strongly with the Culinary Team to maintain smooth service flow and strong product knowledge.Monitor financial performance, including average checks, revenue, COGS awareness and labour percentage.
Assist with monthly reporting.Champion compliance and standards across hygiene, RSA, stock control and equipment careQualificationsMinimum 2 years leadership experience working in a hotel restaurant or similar environmentCurrent RSAConfident hands on leader with solid communication skills and can maintain professionalism under pressureHighly organised and has a strong attention to detail and commitment to consistencySound understanding of POS systems and is capable with rosters, wage control and reportingHigh presentation standardsStrong understanding of food safety and solid knowledge of food and beverage with a guest focused mindsetComfortable with the physical aspects of the job such as prolonged standing and walking, carrying, lifting, pushing and pullingFlexibility to work a variety of shifts such as early mornings, late nights, weekends, public holidays and major event daysHave full working rights in AustraliaAdditional InformationWhy Join Us?
