THE ROLE
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract that will play a critical part in strengthening and maturing enterprise risk capability across a complex organisation.
You will contribute to the ongoing development of the enterprise risk framework, support strategic and operational risk management activities, deliver assurance reviews, and help embed a strong risk culture across the business.
The role offers a mix of strategic and hands-on responsibilities, providing the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across multiple functions while driving continuous improvement in risk management practices, controls and governance processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining and enhancing enterprise, functional and project risk registers
Supporting the ongoing development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
Facilitating risk workshops, assessments and control discussions with stakeholders
Conducting assurance activities and testing the effectiveness of key controls
Monitoring and reporting on Key Risk Indicators, emerging risks and mitigation activities
Supporting board and committee reporting through the preparation of high-quality risk insights and analysis
Delivering risk training and awareness initiatives to strengthen organisational risk capability
Partnering with business leaders to identify,
assess and manage risk effectively
Supporting audit, compliance and governance activities where required
Maintaining risk management systems and ensuring the integrity of risk-related data and reporting
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity will suit an experienced risk, assurance or audit skilled who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing outcomes across a business.
You are comfortable navigating complex environments, challenging thinking when required, and providing practical recommendations that improve decision-making and risk management outcomes.
Experience in enterprise risk management, assurance, internal audit or controls testing
Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, risk taxonomy, risk appetite, inherent risk and control effectiveness
Experience maintaining risk registers and facilitating risk assessments
The ability to identify emerging risks and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience preparing reports, presentations and risk updates for leadership teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
