Piletech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / First Class Welder to join our workshop team.This is a predominantly workshop-based role, with the primary focus on the fabrication and manufacture of steel piling products and associated equipment for civil, piling and infrastructure projects.About the RoleYour duties will include:Fabrication and welding of steel piles and piling componentsCutting, fitting, assembling and welding structural steelReading and interpreting fabrication drawingsPreparing materials for fabrication and weldingMIG welding and general boilermaking dutiesManufacturing and modifying piling tools and equipmentEnsuring finished products meet required specifications and quality standardsSafe use of workshop machinery, tools and lifting equipmentMaintaining a clean and organised work areaAssisting with loading and preparation of fabricated products for delivery to siteFollowing all workplace health and safety procedures and company requirementsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who:Is a qualified Boilermaker or experienced First Class WelderHas strong fabrication and welding skillsHas experience working with heavy structural steelCan confidently read and interpret workshop/fabrication drawingsProduces consistently high-quality weldsHas a strong understanding of and commitment to WHS/OHS standards and safe work practicesCan work independently while also contributing to a workshop teamIs reliable, punctual and takes pride in their workmanshipHas good attention to detailHolds a current Australian driver's licenceExperience in pile manufacture, heavy fabrication, civil construction or structural steel fabrication will be highly regarded.Forklift, dogging, rigging or crane tickets would also be advantageous.What We OfferFull-time, ongoing positionPredominantly workshop-based workConsistent workloadCompetitive hourly rate based on experienceOvertime opportunities when availableEstablished workshop and equipmentSupportive, practical team environmentIf you are an experienced Boilermaker or First Class Welder looking for a secure workshop role focused on heavy fabrication and pile manufacture, we would like to hear from you.Open only to Australian Residents.
