you'll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability and minimising downtime through preventative and reactive maintenance.Your responsibilities will include:Planned preventative maintenance across production equipmentMechanical fault finding and breakdown repairsInstallation, modification and commissioning of plant and machineryMaintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and pneumatic systemsRoot cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesReading and interpreting mechanical drawingsCompleting maintenance documentation and work ordersWorking collaboratively to maximise equipment performance and production uptimeMaintaining the highest standards of safety and qualityAbout YouTo be successful, you will have:Mechanical Fitter Trade QualificationExperience within manufacturing, industrial or production maintenanceStrong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skillsExperience maintaining production plant and equipmentKnowledge of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings and pneumatic systemsAbility to read engineering drawings and technical documentationA proactive attitude with robust problem-solving skillsCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvementAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExperience within plastics, packaging, food manufacturing, FMCG, cable manufacturing or automated production environments will be highly regarded.You will also be willing to participate in a rotating weekend roster and overtime when required.
