We specialise in passive fire protection systems, custom thermal jackets, mobile camouflage systems, and the design and manufacture of Moonraker antennas.The RoleWe're looking for an Assembly Technician to join our Moonraker antenna production team at our Hobart facility.
Moonraker antennas are designed and built in Tasmania and supplied to defence and marine customers around the world.This is a hands-on manufacturing role.
You'll assemble antenna units from component level through to finished product, working to engineering drawings and quality documentation.
Attention to detail matters here.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble components into complete antenna units following drawings, work instructions, and build recordsCarry out fitting, fastening, bonding, and sealing tasks to specificationPerform in-process checks and functional testing, recording results accuratelyIdentify and report non-conformances, defects,



or drawing discrepanciesMaintain accurate build documentation to support quality and traceability requirementsKeep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with WHS standardsSupport continuous improvement of assembly methods and workstation setupAbout YouExperience in assembly or a similar production environmentAble to read and work from engineering drawings and written work instructionsCompetent with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipmentCareful and consistent, with a genuine focus on quality and detailReliable, safety conscious, and comfortable working both independently and in a small teamTrade qualification or Certificate III in Engineering, Electronics, or similar is well regarded but not essentialWhat WeOfferPermanent full time role with a reliable, long-established Tasmanian manufacturerThe chance to build a product that is designed, made, and exported from HobartOn-the-job trainingSupportive team environment with direct access to experienced trades and engineering staff
