This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused and motivated maintenance professional who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a close-knit team.About the Role:As a Maintenance Operator, you'll be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance activities across our treatment plant to ensure equipment and processes continue to operate safely,



efficiently, and reliably.Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you'll contribute to the ongoing operation of one of the region's most important environmental assets.What You'll be doing:Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipmentCoordinate and complete maintenance tasks while balancing operational prioritiesMaintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and system updatesParticipate in a 24/7 on-call roster to support critical breakdown response activitiesIdentify hazards, contribute to risk assessments, and maintain a strong safety cultureWork in accordance with quality, environmental, and safety management systemsCollaborate with a skilled team to support the reliable operation of the facilityWhat You'll Bring:You are a reliable and self-motivated maintenance qualified who takes pride in working safely and delivering high-quality outcomes.As well as:Experience working safely in an industrial environmentExperience handling and working with chemicals safelyStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a teamGood written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills for reporting, data entry, and maintenance management systemsA commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvementA current ACT Class C Driver Licence (or equivalent)Additional Requirements:Successful applicants will be willing to obtain and maintain the following qualifications/certifications:Electrical RescueFirst Aid /CPRNSW Construction InductionConfined Space EntryWork at HeightsMedium Rigid VehicleDogmanSCBAEWPThis role is supported by a structured competency pay system that allows salary progression as you gain experience and learning and development opportunities to grow in the role of water maintenance officer.Applications close Wednesday 5th August ****
