About the Opportunity
Review tender documentation and develop a transparent understanding of client requirements
Prepare first-principle cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders and submissions
Conduct tender clarifications and risk analysis at pre-tender stage
Ensure estimates align with client specifications and company processes
Apply current market pricing, techniques and cost trends to keep estimates competitive and realistic
Plan and prioritise workload to meet tender deadlines
Lead the internal review and sign-off process with senior management
Drive tender submissions, coordinating input across the team
Lead handover from estimating to operations post-award, covering budget, schedule and identified risks
Role Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent experience.




5-10 years' experience in an SMP estimating role on the Contractor side within the construction industry (pricing projects up to $20M).
Proven success pricing winning "first principle" bids as an Estimator for tenders for resources, energy and infrastructure sector projects in Australia.
Proficiency in estimating and scheduling software (e.g. Excel, MS Project, HeavyBid, Candy, Expert Estimation, etc.)
Experience with AutoCA D, Bluebeam, AGTEK or 12D software, On-Screen Takeoff (or similar) highly desirable.
